RUN for ITP is the brainchild of Chris Tinnesz. Diagnosed with ITP in 2004, Mr. Tinnesz is an amateur athlete and sports enthusiast who, along with the ITP Foundation, has developed a unique plan of action for battling ITP, a rare bleeding disorder. For every mile Chris Runs for ITP, he is raising funds and awareness for the ITP Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to battling Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura through family assistance programs and the funding of medical research. Run for ITP will formally kick off on January 1, 2009.

Ran a slow and tender 10.75 miles this morning,

  1. WOW. That is impressive! I ran 10 miles last WEEK and it took everything I could to do it. You're inspiring!

And thanks for running for Team Stephanie in Cleveland in May. I hope I get to meet you and say thank you personally.
